Why I Hate DOD

(Not my image)

This makes me so mad....It's just horrible. How could Amy DO that to him? He just tried to help her, and she cheated on him and didn't seem to really care when he died. Sure, there were some moments when she became emotional about it, but overall? She didn't show nearly enough emotion for a girl who just watched her first boyfriend die. It makes me so mad....

  1. Yeah, this could've been the part where Jake tells her its okay if she needs space or whatever, but NO Baldacci can't make his books realistic, so Amy's like, "Its okay, now MOVING ON!"

    Bad. Book.

  2. It just hit me how perfect the title for that book is. A Day of Doom for the 39 Clues :(

    1. If they ever make a movie out of DoD I'm storming the set and rewriting the script. Only book I'll ever be okay with them altering big parts of it.

Its not so much the plot, more the way it was written. It would've been okay if someone had just told him to make it more intense with less mush and dawdling around.

    2. Same. They can alter 95% of it for all I care. He messed up a bunch of characterization, too, that needs to be fixed.

    3. Atticus needs to be in it more. They need to fix the part where he finds out about his mom. It was so flat (with his Scrabble app? Seriously?). Oh and the part where they talk on the train for a billion years about sciency stuff only smart people understand :p. And the part where Amy is working, but everyone else is either doodling (Dan), spacing out(Att) or staring at her (Jake).

That and like, everything else. Bleh. That was a lot of verbal vomit but DoD deserves it.

  4. If Amy had cheated on Evan with Ian would you be more okay with it?

    1. No. I mean, I would be happy that they were a couple, but I would not be okay with the fact that she cheated on Evan. That's just not right.

  5. I still don't understand how someone can mess up THAT bad. I mean, it would be tons of pressure, but once you get over that, you can make it awesome! You already have a plot, characters that everyone loves, and Trust No One ended with about fifty cliffhangers. A lot of people say that a fan could've written it better, and as bad as it is, I agree.
