  1. This is so true. I never was a huge fan of Amy, but after what she did to Evan, I seriously start to hate her... And what does Amy do to thank him for saving the world? Oh yeah, right, she makes up with Jakes IMMEDIATELY after Evan's death... sometimes I think why my DoD book isn't thrown in a fire yet... >w<

    1. EXACTLY!!! That made me so mad. He was so sweet and loyal, and she just betrayed him. Ugh. I agree. Let's have a bonfire.

    2. Yeah… poorly written book all around. I was happy that Jamy became a thing, but I really reeeeeaaaalllyyy wish I could rewrite that book for numerous reasons.
So sad that no one noticed that Evan was on the floor, you know, DYING.

    3. Oh yes, what I would give to rewrite that book. I feel like so much characterization that the authors had been building over the last two series was just completely destroyed.
THAT WAS HORRIBLE! And then Amy barely mourned for him in that book (Jude Watson had to make up for it in the next book). I mean, her boyfriend just DIED! AGH!

    4. YES! And I get why Amy was making so many irrational decisions in Nowhere to run, Breakaway etc. Evan died because of her.
Plus, she cheated on him. I'm not happy that she cheated on him to end up with Jake, but I feel like after Breakaway- Flashpoint their relationship changed to something better than what it was in DoD.

    7. He probably thought he was writing for a kiddie series. If he had done his research, he would know that a LOT of teens read it and NO it is not a little kids series.

    8. I read that over 40% of the readers of 39C are over age 13!!

    9. Whhhhaaaat? Why are they still saying that its for 3-7 grade? I don't care that its easy to read, they have to make it accurate! Makes me so mad.
Its embarrassing to go to the kids section in B&N to buy it. Thankfully I look a lot younger than I am, but still.

    10. It really is. The material in these books isn't for third graders!

    11. I once read my little sister the first chapter of Maze of Bones. She stopped me about ten times asking "Whats a will?" and "Why is Grace dying?"
      Seriously.
And, when told her about the whole IanJakeEvan problem she called it violent. (she confused violent with romantic).
Not for third graders! Especially the newer books
