Hey everyone! First off, sorry for the lack of quote the last couple days. For some reason, Blogger decided that they hated me, and that I wouldn't be able to post quotes. -_- Thanks, Internet. Love ya.
ANNyways...... Here's today's quote! :)
~Flashpoint
Haha, I loved this line <3 I was reading it the time of the Ebola outbreak in Africa this year (or was it in 2014....? anyway) and I was really anxious about Ebola, then I read this and I was like 'Even my favorite series is mocking me' XD
ReplyDeleteHahaha same here! I was like, really? Even 39C mentions Ebola!
DeleteUgh, the Ebola virus. It made me mad because people in Africa were dying from it and people at school were laughing about it…
ReplyDeleteThis part made me happy though. Ian can be so sassy…
A girl commented on Goodreads that the books are supposed to be set in 2010, and Ebola wasn't as big of an issue then, but to me the books have always seemed to be 2014-2015 time period. I don't know why they chose to have it at that time.
Gosh, I hate it when people joke about it. We talked about it a lot in my science class, but everyone was just worried about it coming to America.
DeleteI live it when Ian is sassy!!!! It's so funny XD
Huh...I don't know when they're set. I do know that Ebola's been around for ages, even if it wasn't as big of a deal.
I had never heard about Ebola until 2014, but I'm not very tuned into those kinds of things.
DeleteI've seen that its 2010 a few different times, but I don't like that.
I hadn't heard about it either, but then again neither am I. I think it existed but it wasn't widespread.
DeleteThat just seems weird....
Yeah I know it existed, and its been around for a while, but most of the outbreaks take place in Africa, and people don't pay nearly enough attention to the people there. Plus, social media got it blown up pretty big this time around.
DeleteYeah, it was all anyone talked about for a while. Idk when these books are set..
