(WHY did I take a book selfie??? I don't even take regular selfies. It's insanity. But here, here's a bad photo of me to laugh at.)
I'm not exactly sure how to go about my life now.
I really want to read this. But I am TERRIFIED. Like, I can't bring myself to read it. But more on my insane terror later.
I just wanted to post this quick update to let you all know that yes, I'm alive, and I'll be posting soon. Probably a lot of posts, actually. But for the time being, I'm taking a break from daily quotes to focus on Mission Hindenburg material. Once I've kind of gotten over the ranting of that, I'll start the daily quotes back up again.
(Also, sorry for the bad quality pictures. I didn't have my camera with me, and I was too impatient to wait until I got home. Because let's face it. Taking pictures the moment you get a long-awaited book is completely necessary.)
Excuse me, I have to go fangirl. Talk to you all later!!
That's awesome! My friend asked if I could come over to hang out tomorrow and she promised that she'd take me to Barnes and Noble so I could buy Sky On Fire the day it came out ( ;
ReplyDeleteI'm scared to read it too, honestly. After this book, we have two more books and then the series is over. I'm just hoping it's not another Day of Doom, and I'm hoping we see the Starlings and Rosenblooms. If Ian dropped out in the last series, you'd be pretty upset about him being gone and never mentioned again, and that's how I feel about my favorite characters.
Have fun reading the long awaited book! I'll be buying it tomorrow!!!
TRUE FRIENDSHIP!!!!!!
DeleteThat's literally terrifying. Yeah, I can totally understand that!! I would lose it!
I will! Although you may read it before me- I'm planning to set aside time to read it all at once, and I haven't had time yet. Agh!!
What I look for in a friend. And she's not even in any fandoms so she doesn't know what it's like to wait for a book or a movie. She just sees me fangirling and knows I'll only shut up if I get the book haha
DeleteI do that to… but I also limit myself to three chapters every half hour or so cuz I want to save the book… I'm super bad at waiting for the time to read it though, and I'll always flip through the pages ahead just to catch glimpses of what's happening next… I spoiled Natalie's death that way, so I should really stop doing that… but when you have the book in front of you it's so hard!!
Hahahaha! How to turn the fangirl off- give her a book. She'll shut up for a few hours-except for crying.
DeleteHaha! Yeah, it's so hard. I've kind of just been staring at my book from across the room forcing myself not to flip straight to the end. *sigh* I wish that I had your willpower to only do three chapters every half hour. I usually finish the whole thing within a couple of hours.
CAUTION: If your fangirl malfunctions and starts to cry while reading a book, DON'T ASK WHAT HAPPENED. If you do, the fangirl will try to explain the entire series to you- using direct quotes and character descriptions. Just give the fangirl some ice cream and tell her that there'll be another book in about six months.
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty agonizing… I got Sky on Fire last night and it's currently sitting in my side table basket-- covered with a bunch of other things so I can't flip through it without needing to dig through all my crap haha.
I'm worried about the book just letting me down. After waiting for 156 days, you want a quality book. I didn't vote on the series poll because I loved MT, and if the other books were similar I'd love the series but I'm worried that Sky On Fire just won't cut it. And just the vibe I get from flipping through the pages is just kind of boring (probably because I know the Rosenblooms aren't in it, too). I'm planning on reading it tomorrow, though, so I'll know soon enough.
XD Exactly!!! Comfort her with food from a safe distance. Otherwise, bad things will happen.
DeleteHaha!! That's a good idea. I just keep staring at mine, willing myself to wait...agh!!
So am I. I just REALLY want the book to be good. But at this point, idk... PLEASE let it be good! I think I'm going to read it tomorrow too, so this should be interesting...
